Irene wanted me to write a blog, but I thought I'd try this for a year instead.
Years later, in 2011, I realize that the above no longer makes sense, since I have stopped photographing breakfast and instead occasionally put down random thoughts. These days I photograph our granddaughter's lovely face, paint for fun, knit and teach knitting at an after-school program for girls, and read. Life is good, if a bit slow, but then, so am I.
My God, those are the biggest, fluffiest pancakes I ever saw. They must have tasted fantastic. Callahan's is becoming quite a favorite, isn't it? Was there an occasion or was it just for the heck of it?
Callahan's is our favorite place for breakfast in Santa Monica if we're not cooking in. Adam ate one of the pancakes and a piece of bacon. Although it's their 2+2+2, they gave me three pieces of bacon, which was too much! Their pancakes are sooooooooo yummy!! I wish I could send you one. Perhaps I could slide it into the CD drawer of my compter? Nope, too big!

OH, we'd gone up to help the kids put in their vegetable garden. It's lovely.
I doubt very much I could eat a pancake that size, but thanks for the offer. How exciting about the vegetable garden.
