I didn't expect to have breakfast out today, but that's what happened. There's a new place on Mesa Verde called the Adobe Grill, and after I walked over to Karen's, we decided to go there, and I didn't have my camera.

- Irene wanted me to write a blog, but I thought I'd try this for a year instead. Years later, in 2011, I realize that the above no longer makes sense, since I have stopped photographing breakfast and instead occasionally put down random thoughts. These days I photograph our granddaughter's lovely face, paint for fun, knit and teach knitting at an after-school program for girls, and read. Life is good, if a bit slow, but then, so am I.

I aced the quiz. How's that? Still, it's a shame you didn't have your camera. Never leave home without it! What did you have for breakfast anyway? 2x2x2?
Very good on the quiz. I was walking to the post office and didn't think about breakfast. We split a huge breakfast platter, three eggs, four bacons, some very spicy potatoes, and toast. The coffee was very good.
They let you split the platter? That was very generous of them. You'd think they would object to their customers doing that.
If we ever go out for breakfast, I can eat your toast. How's that? And have a bite of everything else, if you'd let me.
